Projektraum KUNST im TAUTHAUS
What was designed as a residential row house in the renowned Hufeisensiedlungwas restored in 2012 and, four – six times a year, is used to present art by contemporary artists. Their challenge is to work with the well-proportioned listed building by the architect Bruno Taut and the vivid colours in the interior so that the architecture enters into a dialogue with art on display.
TheTauthausin Parchimer Allee 85b, in both period and new colours, is still clearly a residential building, yet serves a new function: it is now a venue for artistic activities. It was renovated, restored, reconstructed, modernised, re-interpreted and quoted for non-residential use.
